This bundle includes the SmartShunt. The biggest difference between the BMV-712 and SmartShunt is that the BMV-712 has a physical display while the SmartShunt only has Bluetooth. It is highly recommended to have a physical display for battery percentage. However, if you intend on purchasing a Monitoring Bundle, the GX Touch 50 or 70 within the bundle will already display battery percentage from the SmartShunt (VE.Direct Cable is required).
